From Main Street Rag Publications (2008)
Part I: Howling is about varied characters or situations where there is a “howling” of assorted emotions: anger, joy, fear, grief, disappointment, resentments, even humor. The reader meets, among others, fading Southern Belles, children in fear, women in varied stages of turmoil.
Part II: On Red Dirt consists of “the Julia poems,” which is a series of interlinked poems about the relationship of a young white girl and a black lady named Julia. Their lives and families fuse in shared secrets, shadows, and triumphs.
Part III: Roads This section contains poems about the literal and figurative roads of life from New York City to California to Ireland, roads of choices and discoveries, still seeking “the answers to existence,” and maintaining a hope for “A burst of red poppies/At the rim of the abyss.”
From Pudding House Publications (2007)

This chapbook contains some of my favorite poems which explore, mostly through situation or narrative-centered verse, the concepts of regeneration and revival of life or spirit. From a predominate feminine point of view, the poems usually center on moments of insight and gained self-confidence. Sometimes sensuous, sometimes slightly humorous, the poems address “you who seek the answers to existence” (from Kaleidoscope: Long Road to Somewhere).

Forthcoming from Rock Way Press
This unpublished poetry volume offers not only a variety of poems, but pointers about writing poetry, exercises as prompts for writing poetry, and advice about attitudes dealing with a poet’s path. It is a book designed for teaching and teachers, as well as diverse poetic styles, themes, and topics. At the end of each poem is an explanation of how and why I wrote the poem and a brief analysis of the poem’s thesis, allusions, and overall meaning. In addition, the book contains questions and suggestions for group discussions about poetic techniques used in the poems and an analysis of the poems’ meanings.
